What can I say about the Verweij "Stroopies". They were part of the inventory in the bakery I had purchased. No idea what they were. Then one day, we just took a chance and tried one. I'm so glad we tried this brand first, otherwise I would never have eaten another one. I'm a pastry chef and I can only aspire to make something this good. They are truly perfect. Real butter, the secret. The very best brand of stroopwafels!

Better than average, but not nearly as good as the Gouda's Gilde stroopwafels, to my taste anyway. I actually also prefer Daelman's caramel or maple waffles to the Verweij product.

I find that Verweij stroopwafels, outside of the Netherlands ,are the best tasting but just 12 seconds in the microwave and it will taste as if it came directly from the market.
